Q: Ok, what the fudge is a street team?
A: A street team is a group of (awesome) people who help a band promote themselves and reach new fans!
Q: That sounds like work. I don’t like work. Ew. Work. This is stupid.
A: Ah, but not so fast! By putting your email address in on our handy Reverbnation page (http://www.reverbnation.com/piraxis), all you’re committing to is allowing me to occasionally send you an email or two containing missions.
Q: What would a street team mission entail?
A: A mission will range anywhere from writing and submitting a short review of a Piraxis show (this mission will be coming up soon!) to posting a widget on your myspace page or in some emails, or on a forum.
Q: All gain for you guys, huh? I’m out.
A: But again, not so fast! The advantage of being a member of our (awesome) street team is the rewards! We’ll be giving out rewards for every single one of our missions, ranging anywhere from free CDs, tickets to our shows, awesome parties, who knows! And by being a member of the street team, you’re eligible to receive random gifts in your email inbox, and who knows what else!
Q: Ah, that’s more like it. Where do I sign up?
A: http://www.reverbnation.com/piraxis. There’s a little box that says “Join The Mailing List”. Be sure the “Join street team” box is checked!
Q: Hm. Alright. I can see it. But isn’t a bit pretentious to be writing a question and answer session with yourself?
A: Not when you’re as awesome as I am.
So there you have it.
